Renard Model 222 Bassoon

Introduced in 1971, the reasonable price and durable wooden body makes the Renard Model 222 bassoon a popular choice for new bassoonists and school music programs looking to add a wood body instrument to their bassoon section. It can be ordered with standard short reach key work options for elementary and middle schools or key work for larger hands that is suitable for high schools. The Model 222 is easy to play and features the good intonation, even response and warm tone that Fox bassoons are best known for.

Sugar Maple, long bore, selected for maximum durability and naturally aged in our own facilities. Durable synthetic linings in the wing joint and small bore of the boot joint. German bell (white ring). Body Lock.

Acrylic Enamel

Nickel silver keys with silver plating. Full German system. Additional high D key available as an option. Plateau key on wing joint third finger hole. Rollers on F, A(flat), E(flat), and D(flat).
