Single Spatula Low E(flat)/D(flat) Mechanism (Cuciureanu)
This is similar to the Automatic Low E(flat)/D(flat) described above. The biggest difference is that this has only a single spatula to play both notes. The position of the low C key determines which note will be played when the spatula is depressed. This system does not allow independent use of the low C(sharp) key. This key is at its best when a little finger whisper key is also part of the instrument. Access to the little finger whisper key will never get better!
