​Education: Bachelor’s of Music from Oberlin Conservatory; Master’s of Music from Rice University Shepherd School of Music.
Notable performances/accomplishments: Spoleto Festival USA; National Repertory Orchestra; guest performances with orchestras of Richmond, Buffalo, Charlotte, Charleston and others.
Instrument:Â Fox Model 900 and Fox Model 750
Fun Fact: Sean is somewhat experienced and very curious about bassoon and contrabassoon repair and design, and enjoys gradually DIY’ing improvements on the home he shares with his wife, 2 kids, 2 cats, and 1 dog.

About the Artist's Instruments
I chose to play on the 750 because it has a very rich and flexible sound while being very stable and smooth in all registers and dynamics. It makes it easier, and more fun, to play in the orchestra.
